How Executive UK Group Ltd handles personal information collected through Abandoned Vehicle Services.

Last updated: 5 September 2026

1. Who we are

Abandoned Vehicle Services is a commercial service provided by Executive UK Group Limited (“Executive UK Group”, “we”, “us” or “our”), company number 11769850. Our registered office is 61 Bridge Street, Kington, United Kingdom, HR5 3DJ.

For enquiries about this website or this service, contact abandoned@execukgroup.co.uk or call 07493 529199.

2. Information we may collect

When you contact us or submit a case enquiry, we may collect information such as:

  • your name, organisation, role and business contact details;
  • the address or location of the commercial site concerned;
  • vehicle details, including registration mark, make, model, condition and photographs;
  • information about the circumstances in which the vehicle is present on the site;
  • correspondence, call notes and other information needed to assess or manage an instruction;
  • technical information generated by our hosting or security systems, such as IP address and server logs.

Please do not send information about individuals that is not reasonably necessary for us to assess or manage the vehicle instruction.

3. Why we use information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and prepare quotations;
  • assess whether we can accept an instruction and determine the appropriate next steps;
  • manage notices, checks, site attendances, removal, storage and related case administration where instructed;
  • communicate with clients, service providers and relevant third parties where this is necessary for the instruction;
  • maintain appropriate records, protect our legal rights, deal with complaints and meet legal or regulatory obligations;
  • protect our website and systems from misuse, fraud or security threats.

4. Our lawful bases

Depending on the circumstances, we may rely on one or more lawful bases under UK data protection law, including:

  • contract / steps before a contract – where processing is necessary to respond to a request for services or perform an agreed service;
  • legitimate interests – including operating our commercial services, managing enquiries and instructions, maintaining records, protecting property and legal rights, and securing our systems, where those interests are not overridden by individual rights;
  • legal obligation – where we need to process information to comply with a legal requirement.

5. Information obtained from other sources

For an instructed case, information may also be provided by our client, site personnel, property managers, contractors, publicly available records or other lawful sources. Where appropriate, vehicle or keeper-related enquiries may form part of the case process.

6. Who we may share information with

Where necessary and proportionate, information may be shared with:

  • Executive UK Group personnel involved in the instruction;
  • recovery, storage, disposal or other specialist contractors engaged for the case;
  • our professional advisers, insurers, IT and hosting providers;
  • public authorities, courts, regulators or law-enforcement bodies where disclosure is required or permitted by law;
  • other relevant parties where this is reasonably necessary to establish ownership, manage a claim or complete the instructed service.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

7. How long we keep information

Website enquiries that do not become instructions are normally reviewed for deletion after 12 months from the last meaningful contact, unless there is a reason to retain them for longer. Information relating to an accepted instruction may be retained for longer in accordance with our operational retention requirements, contractual obligations, legal claims, insurance requirements, complaints handling and applicable law.

8. International transfers

We aim to use service providers that process information in the UK or under appropriate data-protection safeguards. If a supplier processes personal information outside the UK, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism where required.

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, individuals may have rights including access to personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Some rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions.

To make a data-protection request, email abandoned@execukgroup.co.uk. We may need information to verify identity before responding.

10. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we use personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue. Individuals also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
